CAT (Common Admission Test):

Common Admission Test is one of the most important entrance exams in India and is aimed primarily at Business Schools, especially the IIMs. Conducted each year by the IIMs alternatively, CAT tests quantitative, verbal, data interpretation, and analytical ability. Apart from IIMs, other premier B-schools include FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR Mumbai, and IMI Delhi, where the CAT score is considered valid.

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test):

Xavier Aptitude Test, is another entrance examination conducted at the national level and comes from XLRI Jamshedpur. Not only XLRI Jamshedpur but many other well-known B-schools like SPJIMR Mumbai, IMT Ghaziabad, XIMB Bhubaneswar, and many more accept this test. This exam covers Verbal Ability, Decision-Making Skills, Numeracy Ability & Data Analytical Skills or literacy, and General Awareness.

CMAT (Common Management Admission Test):

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entry test organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India. It is used by more than a thousand management institutes spread across the country for MBA, PGDM, and similar management courses affiliated with AICTE. Analytical and numerical skills, the ability to solve problems logically, language skills, and the ability to seek general information are what CMAT measures in its candidates. Institutions such as JBIMS Mumbai, SIMSREE Mumbai, KJ Somaiya Mumbai, IMT Ghaziabad, and so on use scores generated from CMAT.

MAT (Management Aptitude Test):

MAT is the MBA entrance examination offered by AIMA (All India Management Association) across the national level. As per the ability and inclination of the student, the test is accepted by more than 600 management institutes spread across India for admission to MBA and related courses. MAT tests the candidate’s ability in areas such as, language skills, numerical ability, logical ability, and data interpretation skills. It is held four times a year in May, September, and December or twice in some cases, and maybe in a paper-based or computer-based format. Some institutes that accept MAT scores are XIM Bhubaneswar, BIMTECH Delhi, and IMT Ghaziabad, among many others, which differ in the available MBA specialization.

SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test):

SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is an MBA entrance examination for admission to different MBA programs offered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). It is offered by several institutes under the Symbiosis generic heading, such as Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune, Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) Pune, and other affiliated Symbiosis institutes across the country. A quantitative section tests the candidates on their numeracy skills, quantitative reasoning, or computation, while a verbal section tries to establish comprehension, reading, and language skills either in the form of passage, vocabulary, or synonyms.

NMAT by GMAC:

NMAT by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) is a computer-based test that is conducted for candidates seeking admission into MBA programs in NMIMS and other top management institutes in India. This process thus evaluates the candidate’s mathematical and verbal reasoning profiles. NMAT score is acceptable in NMIMS Mumbai, Bangalore Hyderabad and NMIMS other campus. IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade):

The IIFT entrance examination is held every year for the admission process of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, which has its main centers in Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada. The tests administered include the quantitative ability test, analytical test, verbal skills test, and global awareness test, as these are factors important to the candidate’s work in the field of international business. GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test):

GRE (Graduate Record Examination):

The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is an entrance exam that is accepted by most graduate and business schools across the world ‘some of the MBA programs are also recognized by GRE in India. It evaluates speaking and listening skills as well as mathematical course applied and critical writing.
