Why have ICAI exams been postponed?
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has cited administrative and operational reasons in its official notice. Examination centres, invigilation logistics and digital evaluation systems are being reviewed before announcing the revised window.
ICAI generally announces a revised schedule within 7–10 days of a postponement notice. Bookmark the official portal and check daily for updates.
What candidates should do right now
- Do not cancel coaching or revision plans — exams are postponed, not cancelled.
- Verify your registered email and mobile number on the SSP portal so the new schedule reaches you.
- Re-print the latest admit card once the revised dates are announced (older admit cards are invalid).
- Update your study plan with at least 30 extra mock test windows.
Will the examination fee be refunded?
No. ICAI carries the previously-paid fee forward to the rescheduled examination automatically. Candidates who can no longer appear can opt for the “carry forward to next attempt” option once the dedicated window opens on the SSP portal.

Tips to use the additional preparation window
- Schedule at least 4 full-length mocks per week and analyse each before the next.
- Revise ICAI Revision Test Papers (RTPs) and Mock Test Papers (MTPs) — recurring patterns.
- For CA Final, focus on case-study based application — recent papers favour scenario questions.
- Avoid burnout: build in 1 rest day per week and stick to a fixed sleep schedule.
